Usually 1st September kicks off a massive tradition for Hogwarts and Harry Potter fans alike but many this year are going to be devastated because, well here is the saddest part of it all, it’s not happening
There will be no hogwarts express announcement this year, in an effort to prevent King’s Cross from becoming overcrowded, police will disperse crowds who gather for the “announcement” which will never come
Concerns regarding safety of the event have been raised due to overcrowding
Although this may be the end for the hogwarts announcements at King’s Cross, there are plenty of other ways to celebrate, The Official Harry Potter YouTube channel will feature a pre recorded show instead
The hogwarts express announcement has become a symbol of Harry’s return to Hogwarts, a school of wizardry and magic which has become a huge part of the British culture ever since the movies and books were released
Alnwick castle was one of the filming locations for the development of hogwarts, J.K Rowling herself also drew her inspiration for hogwarts based on many different castles in Scotland
Ron Weasley, Hermione Grainger And Harry Potter were the main characters of the films and books which J.K Rowling wrote, and have became an inspiration to Harry Potter Fans All Over The World
Many people thought that the love for Non muggles (aka wizards) would die off but no, this love has become more than just a film, it’s become something that Harry Potter fans can share and cherish forever
So while this may be the end for the Kings Cross announcements forever, it doesn’t mean hogwarts will die too
